R&B legend Nathan Morris has revealed how Boyz II Men have played for the pope and a prince – but new artists still aren’t keen to work with the band.
The 52-year-old exclusively told The Sun ahead of their UK tour next month, where they will perform alongside a full band as the R&B stars deliver all their greatest hits.

The American R&B group currently consists of members Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris.
Boyz II Men have worked with pop legends like Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson, but when asked what artists Nathan would like the group to collaborate with now, he revealed that newer music acts just aren’t as keen to collaborate.
Speaking with The Sun he said: “It’s more so whatever artists would want to work with us, it’s very difficult in this society.
“Unfortunately, because a lot of the younger artists tend to pretty much feel that they have it all together, and they don’t really need a whole lot, you know, and they’re not really history guys and that was yesterday and I’m the new thing today.
“So it really all depends on their mentality, so it’s up to them for the most part.”
After over thirty years together, the R&B stars are no strangers to performing in front of big crowds and even in front of some very famous faces.
The R&B star said: “We’ve performed for the pope, the prince of Saudi Arabia, there’s quite a few of them over the years.”
In 1995, the group performed for Pope John Paul II in Baltimore, with more than 50,000 people attending the outdoor mass.
The former pope waved to the stadium crowd from his Popemobile as Boyz II Men sang their hit song, Thank You.
Originally from Philadelphia and best known for their emotional ballads, they became a trio in 2003 when band member Michael McCary left the group due to health issues.
They rose to international fame when their 1992 hit, End of the Road, broke records in the US becoming the longest number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for an incredible thirteen weeks.
The band are only one of three artists ever to replace themselves at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, after Elvis Presley and the Beatles– On Bended Knee replaced I’ll Make Love to You in 1994.
Boyz II Men will kick off their UK tour on April 19th at London’s OVO Arena.
