FORMER Love Island finalist Ched Uzor has unleashed a brutal prediction about the ITV2 hit’s future, foreseeing the show’s demise.

During our exclusive interview with the former islander, 27, he revealed his honest thoughts on the show that catapulted him into fame.

Ched says it may be the beginning of the end for the popular ITV show.

Ched, who is currently working with stocklytics.com  told The Sun: “I feel like Love Island will eventually reach the end of its shelf life. I feel like every year someone has something to complain about, coming up with stuff like, ‘you can’t say this, you can’t say that!’

“I think that every show eventually comes to an end unless the producers change it up, but they can’t change it up without making it look like another show. If they don’t change it soon, I feel like it will eventually die.”

While the show still pulls in significant ratings and remains a jewel in ITV’s crown- the network even promoted the first episode of All Stars by simultaneously broadcasting it on both ITV1 and ITV2 –  Ched believes it’s only a matter of time before the youth-skewing show loses some of its heat.

The online coach from Suffolk added: “We’re in series 10 now – people have been watching it for 10 years!

“There’s always going to be something else that comes out and steals the limelight away from it. Love Island will always be Love Island, but I still feel like it will die out.”

Ched was a Love Islander on the sixth season of the series.

He entered the villa on Day 21, and finished in fourth place alongside Jess Gale ,24, who famously arrived in the villa with her twin sister, Eve.

Viewers were glued to the edge of their seats as Eve was dumped from the villa on Day 6, leaving an emotional Jess to remain competing on the dating show.

The Love Island finalists left the show as a couple, walking hand in hand with optimism for what appeared to be a blooming relationship. However, not long after returning home, the world went into lockdown, which led to the demise of their romance.

Ched told Johnny Seifert’s Secure The Insecure podcast back in 2020: “ I came home and then the following Monday we got locked down. So she was in lockdown with her sisters and I was in Suffolk at home with my family. So we haven’t seen each other really.”

Ched recently confirmed to The Sun that he has been in an almost three-year relationship, which led him to turn down the invitation to appear on All Stars. He told The Sun: “People that know me know, and the people that follow me know I’ve got a missus so…maybe they wanted to bring Jess on there as well and that’s why they wanted me to go on there. But who knows, man.”

Career-wise, Ched’s Instagram bio reflects his main focus now, which is: ‘Helping people feel more confident & look their best’. He shows off his sculpted physique with inspirational workout videos, and provides one-to-one personal training and online coaching.

Love Island: All Stars continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Ched and Jess left the villa hand in hand with hopes of continuing a relationship.
